For over 5 years, I have been serving in the animal industry, specialising in dog behaviour and training. I am a fully qualified dog trainer; with a passion for caring and connecting with animals, creating everlasting relationships. It has always been my dream to work with animals of all kinds, and with now over 2 years of experience in the animal transportation industry, I have found a career in which I thrive and brings me true happiness.

These terms and conditions form an integral part of any written or verbal contract between 'Taxis 4 Tails' and any client who contracts 'Taxis 4 Tails' to transport any animal.
During the time that animals are under supervision or in the care of ‘Taxis 4 Tails’, they will be supervised with the highest level of safety, care and professionalism. However, it is a condition of transport that these animals are handled under the understanding that ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ are not to be held responsible for any illness, injury, loss, death or accident, except to the extent caused or contributed to by the negligence of 'Taxis 4 Tails' including that of its employees, agents and subcontractors.
It is a condition of transport that the animal’s owners are responsible for notifying ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ of any relevant details regarding their animal that may affect their safety during the time of transport. Owners must accept the circumstances of their animal's chosen transport arrangements.
It is a condition of transport that ’Taxis 4 Tails’ will accept no liability for any illness, injury, loss, death or accident under any circumstance whilst the animal is in the care of any third party they are collected from or delivered to by the request of the owner.
The purpose of these terms and conditions is not intended to pardon ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ duty of care or liability in the event that we are found to be negligent in the care for these animals.
ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE
It is a condition of transport that the animal’s owners are responsible for notifying ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ of any illness, medical condition or special needs relevant to their animal prior to the animal being collected for transport.
It is a condition of transport that ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ are authorised by the owner to seek veterinary attention for any animal should it be deemed necessary whilst it is in our care. All efforts will be made to contact the owner prior to authorising appropriate treatment, however in the event that we are unable to contact the owner, ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ have a duty of care to make such decisions as may be necessary (based on veterinary advice received).
Any veterinary costs that may arise shall be the owners responsibility and where possible will be billed directly to the owner. Any veterinary costs paid by ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ will be forwarded to the owner for reimbursement.
In the event that your animal is required to stay at the vet for an extended period of time, ’Taxis 4 Tails’ may not be able to wait for treatment to be finalised. This may result in additional costs to the owner for extended care.
In the event that an animal requires veterinary attention during transport, ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ are under no obligation to refund any prepaid transport fees.
It is not a ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ policy to require vaccination certificates for animals being transported. It is the owners responsibility to ensure that their own animal is appropriately vaccinated and protected. During transport animals may come into contact with other animals and may be walked in public places. Young or unvaccinated animals transported shall only be carried at the owners risk.
‘Taxis 4 Tails’ reserve the right refuse transport or refuse handling of any animal that is showing signs of contagious diseases or fleas. This right shall be conducted by the judgment of our experienced staff. Animals will only be transported in these conditions if we are made aware of such conditions prior to pickup; and have sufficient time to disinfect/sterilise the area.
TRANQUILLISERS AND SEDATIVES
It is a ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ policy that tranquillisers or sedatives should not be used on animals being transported due to increased health risks to animals under sedation. Where tranquillisers are required, they are to be arranged by the client and prescribed/issued by the client’s own veterinarian. ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ will not be held responsible for complications arising from the administration or use of tranquillizers or sedatives.
Owners wishing to transport Brachycephalic breeds are to be under the understanding that their animals are at a greater risk of suffering from Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome (BAOS) during transport and that they understand that ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ will only accept such animals for transport at the owners risk. It is the owners responsibility to understand the risks to their animal associated with BAOS and to properly assess the animals condition and suitability for transport.
Our drivers may refuse to accept the animal for transport if it shows signs of advanced BAOS or is obese. In the event of extremely hot weather conditions, ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ may postpone or cancel the transport of brachycephalic breeds. In these circumstances that an animal is not accepted for transport, ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ is not obligated to refund any prepaid transport fees.
‘Taxis 4 Tails’ reserve the right refuse transport or refuse handling of any animal that is considered dangerous to any person or other animal. This right shall be conducted by the judgment of our experienced staff.
EXERCISING OF ANIMALS
Under the circumstance that we at ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ are requested to exercise an animal by their owner, it is a condition of transport that these animals are handled under the understanding that there is an increased risk of loss, injury or the contraction of communicable diseases whilst animals are being exercised. It is the owners responsibility to inform ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ if they do not want their animal to be exercised for any reason.
PRICING AND PAYMENT
Unless one individual is clearly identified to ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ as the animals owner at the time of booking, all parties to the contract shall be held to be the owner and shall be deemed to be jointly liable for any additional costs that may be incurred on their behalf during the transport. Any person who contracts ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ to conduct any transport, if they are not the owner, warrants to ’Taxis 4 Tails’ that they have the authority of the owner to do so.
Any price or quotation provided by ’Taxis 4 Tails’ is based on information provided by the owner of the animal, as to the animals requirements, requests and location of pick up and delivery. ‘Taxis 4 Tails' reserves the right to alter the price in the event that the information upon which the price was quoted was incorrect or has been altered.
Any price or quotation provided by ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ is solely for transport and care of the animal. This does not include insurance of any kind for animals during travel or any additional extras unless agreed upon at the time of booking.
Payments may be made by cash, credit card or bank transfer as per arrangements made at the time of booking. Under no circumstances will cheques be accepted without prior arrangement.
In the event that payment has not been made by or at the time of delivery, ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ reserves the right to refuse delivery of any animals and to deliver them to an appropriate boarding facility at the owners cost until such time as payment has been received in full.
‘Taxis 4 Tails’ may refuse to pick up any animal in the event that we have been unable to confirm appropriate delivery details with the animal’s owner. In the event that ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ is unable to contact the animal’s owner for delivery at the arranged time, we may deliver the animals to an appropriate boarding facility at the owners cost until appropriate alternative arrangements are able to be made and payment has been received in full. If delivery is unable to be finalised due to circumstances outside of ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ control, the animals may be returned to the owner whom may be responsible for the original cost of transport and any additional costs incurred at ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ discretion.
‘Taxis 4 Tails’ reserve the right to charge the full quoted price of a booking in the event of cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the agreed pick up time, or in the event that we are not informed that a booking has been cancelled. In the event we arrive to collect an animal but are unable to contact the owner or access the animal, the booking shall be treated as a cancelled booking and the driver shall continue on their scheduled run.
Any times provided by ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ at the time of booking for pick up or delivery of animals are estimates only. We take pride in maintaining an appropriate timetable and strive to do so; however it is inevitable that at times we will be required to make alterations to our timetable or to cancel services due to traffic, weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns or any other reason beyond our control. ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ accept no liability for any loss, cost or inconvenience suffered by any party as a result of any deviation from arranged pick up and delivery times or the cancellation of services.
In the event that any animal is required to be kennelled or boarded for any reason, including travel or collection delays beyond ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ control, all boarding costs shall be the owners responsibility.
Any refunds requested or given shall be given at the sole discretion of ‘Taxis 4 Tails’, having regard to the individual circumstances of the booking.
For the safety and protection of 'Taxis 4 Tails' staff, at no given time are we permitted to enter a client's residence unless circumstantial prior arrangements have been made. All animals are to be brought outside to the 'Taxis 4 Tails' vehicle by the owner on leash or in an appropriate carrier.
‘Taxis 4 Tails’ may collect information from and about our clients and their pets, for the sole purpose of providing the requested pet transport services. We may disclose this information to others where necessary in the provision of said services. This includes but is not limited to other transporters, veterinarians, kennels or individuals with whom we would reasonably be expected to share information in the provision of said services. ‘Taxis 4 Tails’ will accept no liability for any loss or inconvenience suffered by any party as a result of the disclosure of any information given.
